Here you can directly copy the selected text to the clipboard and paste it in your word processor.

Partiture

This is a true scale representation of your data, based on the time information. The time axis goes from left to right.

Sociogram

In this true scale view the time axis goes from from up to down.

This view can be exported to Microsoft Word.

Tiers/ Speakers

Here you can choose which speakers you want to include in the presentation by a simple click.

You also may change the order of the speakers/tiers which might be important for example in the sociogram format or when transforming into a TextGrid.

Pauses

This option allows you to automatically calculate pauses. Two modes are available. The first mode calculates the pauses according to the selected tiers. In the second mode you can manually decide, which tiers/ speaker are the basis of the calculation. Thereby you can for example include comments in the transcript which are ignored in the calculation of the pauses.

Media + Praat

You can manage the mediafiles which are assigned to your annotation file.

This is especially importand if you want to play you transcript or you want to extract a part of the recording that corresponds to your selection.

Data

The option "Convert special symbols" is especially interesting for Praat users. When this option is activated, the Transformer will transform the Praat special symbols into unicode characters!

Format Options

under this menupoint you can customize the output formats. The changes you make will direclty be visible in the display.

The options are different for each output format.

For example you can

• change the font
• set the width of the transcript
• include line numbers
• include time information (start, end, duration)
• change the format of the numbers (Seconds, miliseconds, hh:mm:ss, ...)

Find

Search for segments in the selected transcript or all transcripts in the filelist.

By clicking on one of the results, the Transformer will automatically be referred to the corresponding place.

Files

This buttons shows the window where you can load transcripts into the Transformer.

Open in Praat

Click this button and open your transcript directly in Praat, you can either open the entire transcript or only the selected part.

Format Options

Here you can customize all output formats in in many ways.

Transform

In the transform window you can

(1) select the output formats you want to transform your data into.

(2) choose if you want to extract an audio (wav, mp3) or video (mpg) file that corresponds to your data selection.

(3) set the output folder and filename.

(4) start the transformation.
